My Rant for the day.

Today most would agree that the most bloody wars began with Religions thirst for power. If you don’t agree do some research.

All I would have to say would be the Crusades, WWII, White Russian, Red Russian and 9/11.

Who encouraged millions to the glory of the battle?

Who could have stopped the death in countries such as Rwanda?

What about the carnage of Ireland?

I have seen photos of Priests blessing weapons. I have a stamp from 1919 of a Priest leading the White Russians into battle.

If religions taught peace, harmony and not to pick up the sword, spear, arrow and gun would that not solve most problems such as war?

Think of WWII if religion didn’t side with Hitler in Germany would WWII have happened? Instead millions died.

I hope this wasn’t too depressing. But the facts are the facts.

Now, it is important that you find the right cure. As usual, doctors usually jack up the price of medicine by 3 times the value. Hydrogen and Fuel Cells as an alternative to gas

Have you ever wondered why there can?t be a cheaper, cleaner way to power your car? The truth is that there are many in the works, behind the scenes in the automotive industry. One very promising technology that could replace gas, and help lower fuel costs, is hydrogen fuel cell technology. What?s that, really? It?s a method of converting water into energy for your car, rather than using costly, polluting gasoline.

Hydrogen fuel cell technology has been catapulted onto the alternative fuel world stage with enthusiasm. Running automobiles on an unlimited supply of water containing hydrogen captures imaginations. This particular alternative fuel technology, however, may be a case of what most scientists and engineers come know, that is, most any technological feet is possible, but at what cost? The more critical aspects of cost and viability in real world applications outweigh the novelty of the achievement.
So how tdoes it work? Hydrogen may be used in an internal combustion engine configured to run on liquid hydrogen though most of the talk is about using hydrogen in fuel cells to generate electricity. A fuel cell is an electromechanical device which uses hydrogen combined with oxygen to produce electricity. That electricity, in turn, drives the electric motors that propel the car. Fuel cell vehicles (FCVs) are thus electric vehicles.

Fuel cells were a part of the Apollo Mission in 1964, employed to run the on board electronics of the lunar module, yet in the intervening years since they have gained little ground in real world automotive applications. Honda has leased a single FCV to a carefully screened Southern California family. This is the only Honda FCV being driven by any non industry citizen in the country. They refuel at a plant nearby, one of a handful in the country.

The source for hydrogen can be water, the most abundant resource in the world as advocates of this technology will point out. Hydrogen exists nowhere in a pure state, however, and must be isolated from compounds that contain a hydrogen element. This process is energy intensive. Obtaining hydrogen from water requires splitting the molecule apart via electrolysis. This is the second most common method for obtaining hydrogen. Currently the lion?s share (95%) of all hydrogen produced in the U.S. comes from natural gas through a process called steam methane reforming (SMR).

Why is hydrogen overwhelmingly derived from natural gas, and not water? The answer lies in the cost of procuring hydrogen through energy-intensive electrolysis. Acquisition through electrolysis of water may become more appealing when scarcity and higher costs of natural gas alter the equation. Using electricity generated from renewable sources is possible as advocates suggest, but this is an inefficient use of that electricity when compared with other alternatives.

The logic in using natural gas or other energy sources to create hydrogen when instead those sources could be used directly to power a vehicle seems questionable. Introducing an added step?converting natural gas or electrolyzing water?requires more energy. The energy will come from fossil fuels such as coal, natural gas, oil, or other renewable sources. However, technology is constantly advancing, and there may be a day, soon, where you can skip the pump, and power your car from the water hose outside.

The Lowest Price Isn’t Necessarily the Best Price for an eCommerce Store.

Today many want to sell a product on the Internet but so many under cut the price so that there really isn’t any profit in selling the product. How can you make money by selling the same product without losing your shirt? Then read this article and decide for your self if I am crazy or not.

Here is a small secret to selling product on the Internet and I am sure most will disagree with me on this topic.

Don’t undercut your competition with your pricing. Out sell them with information about the product.

You must be saying you are nuts. The only business model I know is to undercut the lowest price on the Internet and I will have them come to my site in droves and look at all the money I will make. This is the I will build it and they will come syndrome.

Think about this. A few years back I sold a Product for $125.00 USD and the distributor that I purchased the product from also had a site that sold the same product which was a video color corrector and sold the product for $99.00.

Did you notice I sold the product for $26.00 dollars more than the distributor to the public?

How were my sales? Good, bad or indifferent.

Well I out sold the distributors website.

Why?

Because I gave the people a lot more information about the product. Remember content is king on the Internet. There were more pictures on the site, I gave a complete break down on the product on what it could do and the result was more sales and more sales then the sites that under cut my site.

The advantage of higher pricing is this you have to ship less product to make a higher profit than a store that undercuts. As an example lets use the product above. For the Color corrector a store selling the product at $99.00 would have to sell 5 units to make the same money I did when selling the same product at $125.00 and the time involved in shipping was 5 times that of my store sending one product. The advantage is that you work less for the same amount of profit as your cut throat competition.

Remember that there are price points that you need to go by and if the price is above the suggested manufacturers price your sales may be low or non existent.

Try to find a product that is unique and little competition on the internet. Um the term is find a niche product.

Once you find that golden product DON’T be afraid to sell it higher then the bottom price on the internet.
